Pilu – is one of those restaurants that will leave you wanting more. Situated in a beautiful beach house over looking Freshwater Beach, and serving delicious Sardinian cuisine, this restaurant has won a showcase of awards including ‘Two Chefs Hats’ for 11 years running. The restaurant is owned by Giovanni Pilu who arrived in Australia in 1992, and he uses imported products from Italy as well as fresh local produce to produce an amazing, ever changing menu. The service, ambiance and the wines here are second to none!
The Herring Room – Having been to this restaurant multiple times for birthday celebrations, we have never been disappointed. The Herring Room serves primarily seafood, but they do have meat and vegetarian options as well. All of the seafood is sourced locally from Australia & New Zealand and is paired with the best seasonal, sustainable and local produce. The wine list here is extensive, and will not leave you disappointed. They often host special events, which are usually degustation menus with a special partner, often with a well known wine brand. These evenings are not to be missed!
The Bistro @ Manly Pavilion – With one of the best views in Manly, especially at dusk, The Bistro is fabulous for a dinner party with your nearest and dearest! The Bistro is located on the upper level of Manly Pavilion, and it’s huge dining terrace and open space make it perfect for celebrations, especially on balmy summer evenings. The menu has a wide variety of options for guests, our favourite is the seafood platter!
