Launching in October 2017, Your Island Supply co-owner Dhanya, never expected their
tropical-inspired leggings would be sold out by December!
Dhanya says, “We were overwhelmed by the public’s response to our product. We were
getting consistent feedback that women were loving our unique, colourful prints and the
energy they brought to their training sessions.”
Dhanya was also blown away by customer reviews, that the quality of their leggings were
comparable to some of the well known activewear brands.
So, who is Your Island Supply…
The Australian athleisure brand is the brainchild of husband and wife, Duncan and
Dhanya, who have always been passionate about active living and love everything about
the tropics. As avid surfers with a young active family, they divide their time between
Manly and Noosa. Whilst living in these two places, where an active lifestyle is a way of
life, they saw a gap in the market for tropical-inspired activewear.
“I wanted to mix things up a bit. I see so many women wearing plain leggings when they
train in and out of the gym. I personally wanted to wear colourful vibrant activewear that
made me feel happy when I wear them and in turn motivates me to exercise.”
Dhanya then set out to research and develop activewear leggings that are functional,
performance-driven and ‘Tropical Luxe’.
“Since our launch, women have told us our leggings stand out for all the right reasons”
says Dhanya.
All prints are designed in-house with the ethos of creating prints that appeal to all women of all shapes & sizes.
Dhanya says, “Some of our leggings feature our own take on the ombre style, where the
design fades at the top, drawing the eye down the leg, taking attention away from your
hips and butt. We have also added some unique ankle designs that give the same effect”,
The finished product is a legging that has a soft luxurious feel with tropical luxe prints and the performance qualities to see you through any workout inside and out, with ease.
Their next launch, ‘Summer 2018 Tropical Luxe Collection’, will feature 10 unique designs, that are now available for Pre-Order, with a 25% discount. Stock will be available by the end of January 2018.
